This has to be our family's all time favorite candy. My kids imagined that the "Turkish Delight" in the Tales of Narnia MUST be like our favorite toffee (not!) You just can't take one! I finally finished off the last piece of the season. Although the recipe can be shared, you sort of need to watch it being made. There is too much none of us have ever written down, agreed? (Aunt Nan)
The recipe is easy, but it all comes down to technique. Its one of the few recipes that requires someone talking you through it. I can't imagine trying to make it without coaching. That being said I am perfectly willing to teach anyone that is interested learning.
This is a chronicle of the food we love. The food we love to buy, cook, and share with our friends. It's a collection of our cooking adventures and the recipes we create. Come sit down and enjoy the Feast.

Post the recipe! Power to the people, there are no "secret family recipes" in our world!

Is this the toffee recipe that your mom talked me and Amy through? What great memories. I love your blog by the way! Nancy
